Job summary

CNA is seeking an Underwriter to manage risk across the underwriting lifecycle, including renewal and new business within limited authority. Under broad supervision, you will collaborate with underwriters and field teams to support prudent underwriting decisions.

You will handle endorsements, triage renewals, document files, and contribute pricing insights while staying current on state regulations and CNA strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum of three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting and related processes.
• Experience with endorsements, pricing rationale, and renewals within delegated authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform underwriting analysis to determine risk acceptability for renewal and new business within assigned authority.
• Handle endorsements and refer outside authority with recommended actions.
• Manage assigned renewal book, triage applications, and outline changes for accounts outside authority.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and support underwriting guidance.
• Document files thoroughly to ensure compliance, quality, and audit readiness.
• Assist in pricing using pricing tools and document pricing rationale.
