Core Specialty seeks an underwriter support professional to provide account summaries and assist underwriters with endorsements and policy issuance. The role focuses on risk evaluation, profitability analysis, and collaboration with underwriting teams. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or has 2+ years of transportation underwriting experience, and can work in a hybrid U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 2+ years of related transportation underwriting experience and/or training preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide Underwriters with account summaries to evaluate risks and support underwriting technicians with endorsements and policy issuance.
• Assist determining acceptability, quality and profitability of new and existing business based on underwriting guidelines and objectives.
• Assist developing insurance proposals, approve endorsements, process binds, cancellations, non-renewals and obtain required underwriting approvals.
• Request and follow up on loss control visits.
• Develop account summaries by analyzing and aggregating loss runs, MVRs and external sources.
