Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking a Multi-Line Underwriting Assistant in Alpharetta, GA to support the underwriting team with new business, renewals, endorsements, and other duties. You will handle broker records and agency support while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, with opportunities for growth within a well-established insurance provider.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation lines.
• Energetic team player with positive attitude.
• 1–2 years of underwriting assistant experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work beyond core hours.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• New Business support, such as, pre-bind risk analysis within prescribed authority, reconciliation of binds to ensure all issued.
• Renewal support including pre-underwriting review, quoting, system updates, data collection and any other non-core underwriting type duties as directed.
• Broker of record handling
• Endorsement review and pre-screening as directed
• Cancellation and reinstatement handling as directed
• Recommendation review and handling
• Special projects as needed
• Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards when processing and assigning tasks.
• Provide agency support to assigned agents by answering general questions, providing endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquiries, etc. or directs to correct contact.

Overview

In a support role to the team the Multi-Line Underwriting Assistant responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

Qualifications

• Have the knowledge and skills needed to review Workers’ Compensation lines of business.
• Proven team player and energetic personality.
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• 1-2 years of experienceas an Underwriting assistant
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High commitment to achievement of business goals.
• Ability to work beyond core work hours
• Genuine interest and passion for the business demonstrated by actions.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with a desire to learn.

The expected salary range for this role is $17.00-$26.00/HR.
