Job summary

Resilience in San Francisco is seeking an Underwriting Assistant on our Operations team. You will own the administrative velocity and transactional accuracy that enables our underwriting team to evaluate cyber and tech E&O applications at scale.

In six months you will manage file completeness, respond to brokers and clients, prepare policies and endorsements, ensure lifecycle compliance, and collaborate across Claims, Security Sales, and PAS teams to scale the platform.

The Hook: Why this role matters now

As an Underwriting Assistant on our Operations team, you won’t just be filing paperwork or sitting on the sidelines. You will take complete ownership of the administrative velocity and transactional accuracy that enables our underwriting team to evaluate cyber and tech E&O applications at scale. This is a foundational, high-visibility role where you will learn directly from seasoned leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Marketing & Distribution, Finance, Legal, and our internal Security Operations team, serving as a critical operational pillar of our regional growth.

The Mission: What you will achieve in the first 6 months

In your first six months, you will take full accountability for processing and reviewing incoming insurance applications, ensuring every file is complete, accurate, and ready for deep underwriting evaluation on both new business and renewals. You will own the front-line communication loop, responding promptly to inquiries from brokers, clients, and internal team members while building strong broker relationships that drive smooth, frictionless transactions. Beyond basic file management, you will prepare and issue policies and endorsements, maintain strict file compliance throughout the policy lifecycle, collaborate cross-functionally with Claims, Security Sales, Security Engagement, and PAS teams to optimize portfolio management, and tackle key operational projects as our platform scales.
