Berkley Human Services, a Berkley Company, is seeking an Account Representative to handle new and renewal accounts in the human services sector. You will review submissions, assess risk, and coordinate with underwriters, agents, and operations to issue policies and maintain files.

The role requires attention to detail, strong numeracy, and solid insurance industry experience. This is a full-time position located in Minneapolis with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Above-average mathematical skills required.
• ISO Commercial Multi-line rating knowledge/experience.
• Experience in an insurance company environment beneficial.
• Strong PC and keyboarding skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Handle new and renewal accounts as assigned by underwriters or manager.
• Review submission materials, assess risk, and determine terms.
• Process renewals within delegated authority and follow underwriter instructions.
• Review applications from agents and obtain missing information.
• Refer to underwriter or underwriting manager when outside authority.
• Prepare proposals for agents and follow up on quotations.
• Order inspections and review information for underwriting risk as needed.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports; communicate with agents/marketing staff.
• Liaise between independent agents, insurance company, claims adjusters and others as needed.
• Set up policy orders for issuance by Operations team and handle endorsement requests.

Responsibilities

• Handle new and/or renewal accounts, as assigned by underwriters or manager.
• Reviewing new submission material, assessing risk and determining appropriate terms.
• Processing assigned Automatic and non-Automatic renewals within delegated authority.
• Following specific instructions of the underwriter.
• Reviewing applications from agents and obtaining missing information.
• Refer to underwriter or underwriting manager when outside assistant underwriter authority.
• Prepare proposals for agents.
• Follow up on all quotations in order to verify account status.
• Following guidelines or instructions, order inspections as needed for underwriting of risk.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports as necessary.
• Meet or communicate with agents/marketing personnel.
• Maintain contact with and act as liaison between independent agents, insurance company, claims adjusters and other concerned parties in administering accounts where necessary.
• Maintain and update files for underwriting reviews.
• Rate and process business as assigned, to include manual, computer and experience rating.
• Set up policy order and instructions for issuance by Operations team.
• Handle endorsement requests within delegated authority.
• Perform other account-related duties, as assigned by underwriters.
• Order loss control.
• Order / review MVR’s, GuideStar information, BUR or other outside materials as instructed.
• Complete valuation estimations as requested or directed.
• Handle routine inquiries from agents.
• May perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• ISO Commercial Multi-line rating knowledge and experience.
• Insurance company experience.
• Strong PC and keyboarding skills.

Education

• High school or equivalent relevant experience.
