Job Description

Provide support to Underwriting by qualifying accounts according to HSB guidelines. Research property locations for prior coverage and losses, assign occupancies to locations using established performance standards that are responsive to marketing, underwriting, retention, and services goals. Focus on special handling and highly serviceable accounts (HAS), including hospitals, municipalities, and colleges. Take inbound phone calls and communicate with brokers, agencies, customers, and internal departments.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
• Experience in providing exceptional customer experience and handling customer escalations
• Experience with internet research

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent data entry, telephone, and PC skills. Familiar with MS Office Suite
• Proficient in Excel with the ability to create, format, calculate, and report
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and ensure assignments are delivered on time
