Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Underwriting Priorities, to support Caremark Underwriting leadership. You will research, validate, and synthesize data to resolve time-sensitive questions and guide decisions in pricing and forecasting.

The role requires Excel expertise, comfort with large datasets, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Anticipated 40-hour weeks; full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ad hoc requests by gathering facts, performing analyses, and producing clear readouts for leaders and partners.
• Diagnose changes in pricing and forecasting results and identify key drivers and data shifts.
• Collaborate with modeling, data, finance, and SME teams to obtain answers and validate results.
• Create side analyses in Excel to validate assumptions, reconcile outputs, and quantify impacts.
• Work with structured data and SQL to extract and validate inputs/outputs.
• Maintain notes and references to improve repeatability and avoid rework.
• Prepare meeting briefs and capture action items; represent leadership in lower-priority meetings when needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline recurring requests and improve output clarity and reliability.
