Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to join the Commercial Bank Analyst Development Program. The program combines formal classes, online coursework, and on-the-job training to build a broad technical skillset.

As part of the Tech, Media & Telecom team, you will work on underwriting loans, perform financial analysis, and contribute to credit approval documents while learning First Citizens Bank systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum required education: Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree/equivalent with 2 years of experience.
• Coursework or internship in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare historical financial analysis, projection models, and assist in underwriting loans.
• Conduct independent industry research.
• Assist in management and reporting of loans post-close.
• Participate in creation of credit approval documents.
• Attend and contribute to credit approval meetings.
• Develop understanding of trends in TMT subsectors.
• Maintain credit files for audits.
• Familiarize with First Citizens Bank systems, processes, and resources.
