The Underwriting Analyst, Employee Benefits, will assess risks and make decisions for our existing business. You will work with the Distribution team on renewals and plan changes, aligning with the company's financial goals. Collaboration with other departments and vendors on underwriting issues and best practices is also key.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Assess risks and make decisions on renewals and amendments.
  2. Work with the Distribution team to ensure timely renewals, considering financial objectives.
  3. Collaborate across departments and with vendors on underwriting issues and best practices.
  4. Use Equitable's quoting platform and rating tools to review census data, plan features, and develop manual rates.
  5. Achieve KPIs such as pricing strategy, sales, persistency, and Turnaround Time (TaT).

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on skills, experience, and location. Additional performance-based bonuses and incentives are available. Equitable offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Customer service skills and experience.
  • High reliability, responsibility, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Group Employee Benefits, familiar with Life/AD&D, Dental, Vision, Disability products.
Skills
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
