The Underwriting Analyst, Employee Benefits, will assess risks and make decisions on our existing business block. Collaborating with the Distribution team, they will evaluate renewals and plan changes, aligning with the company's financial goals. The role also involves working with other departments and vendors on underwriting issues and best practices.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Assess risks and decide on renewals and amendments.
  2. Work with the Distribution team to ensure timely renewals and meet financial objectives.
  3. Collaborate with departments and vendors on underwriting issues and best practices.
  4. Use Equitable's quoting platform and rating tools to review census data, plan features, and develop rates.
  5. Meet KPIs such as pricing, sales, persistency, and turnaround time.

The salary range is $55,000 - $65,000, with actual pay based on experience and location. Additional performance-based incentives and benefits are provided, including health plans, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Customer service skills and experience.
  • Reliable, responsible, organized.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Group Employee Benefits, including Life/AD&D, Dental, Vision, Disability.
Skills
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Effective Communication: Clear and accurate information exchange.
