Job summary

Christian Brothers Services in the United States seeks an Underwriting Analyst for its Risk Solutions division. You will review applications and renewals, analyze risk, calculate rates, and prepare quotes to support member coverage decisions.

The role collaborates with the Director of Underwriting to maintain accurate records, assist with broker materials, and support the Self Insured Auto Program. A college degree or five years in insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• A college degree or at least five years of experience in insurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong math, analytical, and data accuracy skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Review applications, renewals, and coverage change requests and analyze risk characteristics.
• Apply underwriting guidelines and authority limits to support coverage decisions.
• Calculate renewal rates as needed and prepare quotes and marketing materials.
• Maintain new business records, worksheets, and documents for broker communications.
• Review and reconcile claims reports and prepare payment information for Finance.
• Support self-insured auto program materials and annual program renewals.

Our Risk Solutions division has a full-time opening for an Underwriting Analyst. In this role, you’ll review applications and renewals, analyze risk information, calculate rates, prepare quotes, and review claims reports. You’ll work closely with the Director of Underwriting and other teams to help ensure information is accurate and members receive timely service.
