Coverys is seeking an Underwriter to apply extensive medical professional liability underwriting knowledge with a global perspective. The role focuses on groups and facilities to build a profitable book of business.

Responsibilities include evaluating exposures, approving applications, and communicating underwriting decisions. Collaboration with agents, training, and staying aware of industry trends are essential parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPCU and/or RPLU studies preferred.
• Active Property and Casualty producers license.

Responsabilités

• Analyze information to decide on account acceptance or declination.
• Approve applications, renewals, and endorsements within authority; calculate premiums.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly in documentation.
• Manage assigned territory within company guidelines and financial objectives.
• Develop relationships with agents and brokers through effective communication.
• Coordinate and lead training on underwriting processes.
• Monitor competitive pricing and product offerings in the territory.
• Present to current and prospective insureds; participate in meetings.
