Job summary

Amwins is offering an Underwriter L.A.U.N.C.H Program in which participants receive a 9-week intensive education on insurance and underwriting, with housing provided in Charlotte, NC. After training, you relocate to Dallas to join Amwins National Transportation Underwriters as an entry-level underwriting support professional.

Ideal candidates have an RMI-related degree with under 2 years of experience, a strong interest in insurance, leadership potential, and a proactive, problem-solving

Qualifications

• RMI degree preferred early in career (less than 2 years of experience).

Responsibilities

• Set up submission information for new and renewal business in agency management and rating systems.
• Request and follow through on missing information from retail partners and outside sources.
• Rate new and renewal business across multiple carrier platforms and internal tools.
• Contact carriers directly by phone and email to market risk submissions and identify best placement.
• Quote accounts with retail clients, working alongside underwriting team on terms.
• Build working relationships with retail and carrier partners through day-to-day communication.
• Maintain account logs and monitor reports to keep outstanding items moving.
• Complete bind forms, issue policy numbers, and review bound account information.
• Handle policy issuance and endorsement processing.
• QA policies, proposals, and binding acknowledgements.
• Order loss control per company guidelines; review reports and take action.
• Assist with accounting procedures such as invoicing.
