We’re seeking an experienced insurance underwriting professional who is willing to think outside the box with a whole new approach to policy underwriting.

You demonstrate a thorough understanding of the knowledge behind commercial auto underwriting and you're a tow truck expert! You love building collaborative relationships, eliciting client understanding and insight to advise and make recommendations.

A day in the life:

1. Underwrite individual commercial auto liability accounts for program acceptability, pricing adequacy, and long-term profitability
2. Review new and renewal business submissions and prepare quotes and binders
3. Approve coverage forms for policy issuance
4. Approve notices of cancellation
5. Implement strategic underwriting objectives and risk management techniques that support profitability and growth
6. Build strong relationships with internal broker relationship managers, external brokers, and customers
7. Maintain underwriting quality and operational enhancements to maximize efficiencies
8. Evaluate measurement controls, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvement that will lead to reduced loss ratios

The skills you bring:

1. Commercial auto underwriting experience including towing experience.
2. You’re a people person: chatting with people gives you a buzz and you love sharing your infectious energy with others
3. You love to learn, you have healthy scepticism of the status quo and you’re obsessed with continuously finding better ways to do things
4. You like to solve problems and get things done: you focus on finding solutions when it comes to communicating and working with others
5. You’re hands-on: not only can you see the big picture and how things tie together but you can dive into the weeds and execute projects and assignments with little oversight
