GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for analyzing and reconciling Indirect Auto Loan files presented for funding that contain errors or exceptions to program guidelines.

Direct responsibility to review and underwrite secured indirect lending products installment loans across multiple states, Affiliates or geographic regions. Responsible for analyzing loan packages and working with external customers (Dealership Finance & Insurance Managers, Sales Managers, and General Managers) as well as internal customers (Auto Underwriters and Indirect Sales Representatives) to resolve errors and/or exceptions so loan packages can be funded timely to meet SLA guidelines. Provides superior quality service to internal and external customers (Dealership FI Finance & Insurance Managers, Affiliates, and vendors). Supports process improvements, business objectives, and accepts additional projects as assigned.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze funding packages submitted by Indirect Auto Dealers across multiple states, Affiliates, or geographic regions to identify errors or exceptions, analyze risk, and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Review documents supporting credit decisions (dealer contracts, verification of income, tax returns, etc.).
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of credit applications.
  • Formulate and communicate funding credit decisions (approve, decline, or counteroffer) in compliance with underwriting guidelines, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop business relationships and build rapport with customers to achieve mutual goals of resolving and funding contracts.
  • Manage problem contract pipeline to meet business objectives.
  • Review pipeline contracts to maximize production and meet service quality levels.
  • Provide superior quality service and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • Consumer Lending credit authority is aligned with guidelines and business needs.
  • Review problem contracts and recommend decisions over their authority to their manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • College degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of Consumer Lending or related industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with managers, build consensus, and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of ACAPS.
