Bass Underwriters, Inc. seeks an Underwriter Assistant in St. Petersburg, FL to support an Underwriter by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, creating quotes, and processing new and renewal business. This role is a stepping stone into underwriting with mentorship and exposure to risk analysis.

No insurance experience required; mentorship and tools will help you succeed. You will build relationships with agents and carriers in a dynamic commercial property/casualty environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Risk Management & Insurance (or related experience)
• Strong customer orientation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Must prioritize and handle complex issues
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Proficient in MS Office and able to navigate websites/databases
