Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Locator to mark underground utilities with flags and paint, ensuring safe and efficient projects. You will operate detection equipment, read maps, document locates, and respond to excavation notices.

We offer weekly pay, PTO, holidays, 401(k) with company match, stock purchase, education reimbursement, legal insurance, and more. On-site role requiring 18+, US work authorization, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US work authorization for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities.
• Read utility maps to locate underground utilities accurately.
• Document all locates.
• Respond promptly to excavation notices.
• Communicate with excavators, utility reps, and staff.
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
