Job summary

GridHawk LLC located in Missouri is seeking a Locate Technician to accurately locate underground utilities using multiple methods, interpret blueprints, and document findings. You will work in varied terrains, coordinate with customers, and maintain a safe, damage-free environment.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED, a valid state driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and the willingness to pass a background check and a DOT drug test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State issued driver's license required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Vacuum truck experience preferred (A+).
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Pass a background screening (no violations in the last 5 years).
• Pass a DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground facilities by using a transmitter and connecting to buried assets.
• Work in varied terrain around construction zones in all weather conditions.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and maps to plan routing and duties.
• Perform locates and on-call locates to meet customer needs.
• Communicate with customers, coworkers, and third parties to ensure safety.
• Coordinate with management, contractors, and utility customers.
