Job summary

HMB Professional Engineers is seeking an Underground Utility Locator to join our team in Nashville, TN. The candidate will help expand our SUE capabilities and cross-train within the Utility Coordination Team.

The role requires 5+ years of utility locating experience, the ability to read utility maps, and proficiency with locating equipment such as VLoc Series 2 and GPR. Occasional travel, night work, and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of utility locating experience in diverse environments.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps and prints.
• Familiar with 811 procedures and utility contacts.
• Willingness to travel Monday to Friday and cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Locate, identify, and map locations and depths of utilities (underground and overhead).
• Operate locating equipment to locate and mark underground facilities.
• Perform QA/QC checks on locate data and maps.
• Take assignments from Utilities Group Manager and assist as needed.
• Coordinate with survey field crews and office staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
