Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking a Locate Technician to accurately locate underground utilities and document findings across diverse environments. You will use transmitters, maps, prints, and field measurements to identify lines and mark locations for utility projects.

Responsibilities include independent or team work, following safety protocols, and communicating with customers and management. A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background and DOT drug tests are required.

Qualifications

• Background check required with no violations in last 5 years.
• Must pass DOT drug test.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities by using transmitters and portable equipment.
• Work in varied terrains and weather conditions around construction zones.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints and maps to locate and mark utilities.
• Perform locates during regular, overtime, and on-call hours as needed.
• Communicate with customers, co-workers and contractors to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Maintain knowledge of tools and safety procedures.
