Job summary

USIC is seeking a Locator for outdoor field work to locate and mark underground utilities across various sites. You will drive a company vehicle, follow safety protocols, and complete documentation and photos for each locate.

Joining is a full-time role with a comprehensive training program, overtime and weekend work as needed, and opportunities for advancement within a leading nationwide utility-lacation provider.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
