Job summary

USIC is seeking a Locator to locate underground utilities in designated areas using company-provided vehicle and tools. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely documentation of each locate.

You will work daytime, full-time shifts with overtime and on-call duties as needed, in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities exist within our growing national network.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid drivers license with safe driving record.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities (telecom, electric, gas, water, sewer) accurately and safely.
• Search designated areas, mark locations, document findings, and photograph each locate.
• Complete locate tickets and paperwork; maintain 48-hour turnaround on locates; coordinate with field teams.
