Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking a field locator to identify and mark underground utilities in outdoor environments. You will work with a company-provided vehicle, use tickets and maps, and ensure safe, accurate locate markings for utility partners.

The role requires outdoor endurance, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts, and a safety-conscious mindset. Training is provided; prior locating experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a drug screen due to safety-sensitive role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency with technology and field data capture.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps and prints and document findings clearly.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Mark locations, document findings, and photograph each locate.
