Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year field experience with SUE preferred.
• Knowledge of municipal construction and utility infrastructure; understand related laws and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist SUE Crew Chief with underground utility location, designation and excavation tasks.
• Load, unload and maintain SUE equipment daily.
• Safely excavate to expose subsurface utilities using hand tools and vacuum excavation technologies.
• Provide accurate measurements for utilities within project limits.
• Read and interpret utility records, as built drawings, and highway design plans.
• Organize field work and accurately collect field data, then deliver data to the office with proper records.
