Job summary

USIC is seeking a field-based Locator to identify and mark underground utilities such as telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems. You will work in the field with a company vehicle, perform accurate locates, document findings, and photograph sites.

The role requires outdoor work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug screen. We offer extensive training, paid holidays, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field equipment.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities in designated areas and mark locations.
• Complete necessary documentation and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time, with potential overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call duties.
