Job summary

USIC is seeking field locators for daytime, full-time work locating underground utilities using company-provided vehicles and tools. You will be responsible for safely marking locations and documenting each locate in designated areas, with overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently, including telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Search designated areas, mark locations accurately, complete required documentation, and photograph each locate.
