Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a safety‑minded Utility Locator to identify and mark underground cables and pipes in outdoor environments. The role emphasizes quality and safety to prevent utility damage during excavation.

You will read maps and blueprints, document locations with photos, and work from a company vehicle using provided equipment. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities safely and efficiently.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, mark locations, complete tickets, and photograph sites.
• Read maps & blueprints to ensure accurate positioning.
• Operate a company vehicle and equipment to document findings and close tickets.
