Job summary

Zachry Underground and Utility Services seeks a dedicated Utility Laborer with construction experience to perform varied labor tasks on underground utility projects in Texas. Candidates may drive equipment to the site at shift start and end.

Prior work with dry utilities or underground structures is a plus. Successful candidates are physically capable, safety‑minded, and able to handle tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and work as part of a team on active job sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding labor on construction sites.
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools used in underground work.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools for trenching, conduit placement and material handling.
• Dig and prep trench areas near live utilities while maintaining safety.
• Operate small equipment such as mini excavators as needed.
• Assist crew with material loading/unloading and site cleanup.
