Job summary

Ellison-Mills Contracting in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Underground Utility Foreman (Water/Wastewater) to lead field crews on complex water and sewer projects. The role requires at least 3 years of foreman-level experience and a solid background in installing water, sewer, storm drain, and force main systems.

You will read construction plans, coordinate labor and equipment, and ensure safety standards on site while maintaining schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Underground Utility Foreman or equivalent field leadership role.
• Experience installing water, sewer, storm drain, and force main systems.
• Strong knowledge of underground utility construction methods, materials, and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility layouts.
• Knowledge of grades, elevations, and proper pipe installation techniques.
• Experience directing and supervising field crews to meet daily production, quality, and safety goals.
• Ability to coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, shoring, and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve field issues and coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, and other project personnel.
• Experience operating or working around heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver\'s license required
• CDL preferred
