Job summary

Ellison-Mills Contracting seeks an experienced Underground Utility Foreman to lead field crews on water, sewer, storm drain, and force main projects in Tucson, AZ. You will read plans, coordinate labor and equipment, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

The role requires 3+ years as a foreman or equivalent, OSHA awareness, and strong leadership and communication skills to keep projects on schedule in outdoor, physically demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as an Underground Utility Foreman or equivalent field leadership role.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and utility layouts.
• Knowledge of grades and elevations and proper pipe installation techniques.
• Experience directing field crews to meet daily production, quality, and safety goals.
• Ability to coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain schedules.
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, shoring, and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve field issues and coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, and other project personnel.
• Experience operating or working around heavy construction equipment.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
