Job summary

The Foreman UG (Underground) at Primoris Services Corporation leads and supervises a crew performing underground utility construction, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top quality. This role oversees daily operations, adheres to project specs, and manages the team to meet schedules.

Responsibilities include planning resources, interpreting blueprints, enforcing OSHA safety, operating heavy equipment when needed, mentoring crew, and reporting progress to the Superintendent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in underground utility construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of underground utility installation techniques, materials, and safety regulations (OSHA, trenching and excavation standards).
• Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment used in underground construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a crew of underground utility workers.
• Plan and organize daily work activities with proper resource allocation.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications for underground installations.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA policies.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Monitor progress and report daily production to the Superintendent.
• Train and mentor crew members and foster a productive work environment.
