Job summary

Karvo Companies, Inc. seeks an experienced Underground Utilities Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil construction projects across Northeast Ohio. You will guide crews, coordinate with managers and inspectors, and ensure work adheres to plans and safety standards.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years supervising underground utilities with strong knowledge of sewer and waterline systems, and the ability to read blueprints. Valid driver's license required; OSHA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising underground utility construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, excavation, and grading operations.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.
• OSHA and safety knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Prior experience supervising projects for owners (ODOT, cities, counties).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for underground utility projects, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, and related site work.
• Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on every job site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and owners to ensure quality work and successful project delivery.
• Plan daily work activities, manage production, and solve field challenges as they arise.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.
