The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in construction safety, with hands-on experience in underground water, wastewater, and storm drain infrastructure. Strong incident investigation and OSHA expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience.
• Significant experience supporting underground utility projects (water, sewer, storm drain, and related infrastructure).
• Proven ability to manage safety across multiple projects and crews.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence field and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of project safety and health programs across multiple active construction sites.
• Partner with operations leadership, project managers, and superintendents to ensure safety remains a core operational priority.
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while identifying root causes and preventive measures.
• Deliver training, coaching, and mentorship to field personnel and frontline supervisors.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements.
• Track safety metrics, maintain documentation, and prepare reports for executive leadership.
• Support pre-construction planning by identifying project-specific risks and mitigation strategies.
• Help drive a culture where safety, accountability, and operational excellence are aligned.
