Job summary

LVI Associates in Dallas, TX seeks a Safety Coordinator for underground utilities to promote a strong safety culture on heavy civil projects across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

You will conduct site inspections, lead safety meetings, investigate incidents, and partner with project teams to enforce OSHA standards and improve processes.

This role requires OSHA 30 certification and travel between multiple project sites nearby.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably heavy civil.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and leadership.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• CHST, SMS, CSP or similar certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between projects in the DFW area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training programs.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; develop corrective actions.
• Assist teams with hazard assessments, JHAs, and site safety plans.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Partner with project managers to promote proactive safety culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety processes and reduce risk.
