Job summary

Ella Contracting is seeking an Underground Utilities Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee water, sewer, storm drainage, and other underground infrastructure projects. This includes coordinating with engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure regulatory compliance, accurate sequencing, and timely execution.

The role ensures on-time and on-budget delivery, manages changes, enforces quality and OSHA safety standards, and collaborates with field teams and clients to resolve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
• Proven experience in underground utility construction or similar.
• Strong understanding of underground utility systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in project management software (Heavy Job, Heavy Big, Foundation).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee underground utility construction projects.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage subcontractors, crews, and major material orders.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Provide progress reports to stakeholders and address field conflicts.
