E-Z Bel Construction in Austin, TX seeks an Underground Utilities Foreman to lead field crews responsible for safe installation of underground electrical infrastructure supporting traffic signal systems. The role requires strong expertise in conduit, trenching, layout, and compliance with TxDOT, COSA, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with inspectors and subcontractors, supervising equipment use, enforcing safety, and mentoring crew members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underground utility and concrete roles with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of underground electrical installation, trench safety, and traffic control.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/electrical plans and project specs.
• Familiarity with TxDOT, OSHA, and MUTCD requirements.
• Proficient in digital timekeeping/production tracking systems (e.g., HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans; verify layouts and installation accuracy.
• Lead trenching, conduit installation, ground box placement per specs.
• Oversee equipment use; ensure safe operation and maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce PPE/OSHA rules.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, vendors, and subs to resolve issues.
• Manage material staging, tool usage, and jobsite logistics.
• Track time and production; review daily reports and logs.
• Train and mentor labor crews; develop leaders.
