Job summary

Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC is seeking an Underground Utilities Laborer for a full-time on-site role based in Vancouver, WA. The position supports trenching, backfilling, and pipe/conduit placement while maintaining safety and organization on busy utility projects.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, assist with traffic control as needed, and collaborate with crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic construction tasks such as trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and small power tools; familiarity with compactors or trenchers is preferred.
• Understanding of underground utility installation methods including pipe and conduit handling and bedding/backfill practices.
• Commitment to safety, OSHA guidelines, PPE, and company safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, backfilling, pipe and conduit placement, and site preparation.
• Load and unload materials and operate or assist with basic construction tools and equipment.
• Set up safety barriers and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Adhere to safety standards and follow crew leaders' instructions; assist with traffic control or spotter duties as needed.
