Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Underground General Foreman to supervise crews on underground utility projects. You will direct daily operations, enforce safety policies, plan tasks, allocate resources, and monitor quality and progress.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 5–7 years in underground utility work with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years in underground utility construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• OSHA safety training (10/30) certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of underground utility crews (excavation, trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, restoration).
• Enforce safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Plan and schedule tasks, allocate resources, and manage equipment and materials.
• Monitor progress, maintain schedules and budgets, and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote safety and productivity.
• Prepare daily reports on progress, materials, and incidents.
