Job summary

Muller, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead field crews on water and sewer projects at the job site in Virginia. The role oversees trenching, equipment operations, safety compliance, and hands-on training.

Responsibilities include managing quality control, mentoring team members, and ensuring excavation and compaction procedures meet project standards. Excellent communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience or more with wet utility.
• Must be able to operate large excavators with precision.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to communicate directly with clients.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to access secured facilities.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
• Installs trench boxes as necessary.
• Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures.
• Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed.
• Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job.
• Manage quality control and production.
• Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner.
