Job summary

Carolinaconduit is seeking an experienced Utilities Excavator Operator to join our field team on underground utility installation projects. You will operate excavators and loaders, trench for conduit, and work around manholes in active construction sites.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and capable of reading site plans, following specifications, and performing routine equipment maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in utility work.
• Familiarity with underground conduit installation and trenching.
• Ability to read site plans and follow specifications.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces such as manholes.
• Strong knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance.
• OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and loaders for trenching and conduit installation
• Dig trenches to required depths and grades with precision
• Install underground conduit in coordination with utility plans
• Safely enter and work within manholes when required
• Load and move materials around the job site
• Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA standards
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
• Assist with general labor and site clean-up as needed
