Job summary

Barrick is hiring an Underground Surveyor for the Fourmile project in Elko, NV. You will provide precise surveying for underground and surface operations, supporting engineering with stope design and production planning while using total stations and scanners to produce accurate survey data.

The role requires strong math and computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work safely in an underground mining environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic survey methods (preferred).
• Degree in Mining Engineering or applicable experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of underground mining methods and design (preferred).
• Demonstrate computer skills with 3D drafting programs (preferred).
• Strong math and computer skills (required).
• Strong verbal and written communication (preferred).
• Valid driver's license (required).
• Commitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture (required).
• Able to drive assigned company vehicles on surface and underground (required).
• Able to walk significant grades, uneven ground, and meet physical requirements (required).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision (required).
• Ability to work safely in underground mining environment (required).

Responsibilities

• Take accurate measurements of underground and surface workings and maintain records.
• Assist engineering team with stope design and production planning.
• Use engineering designs to guide mining activities.
• Utilize equipment such as total station and scanners to generate surveys.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
