Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation in Elko, Nevada is seeking a Drill Services Supervisor to join the Fourmile Projects Team. The successful candidate will work with mining engineers, geologists, and other specialists to plan and optimize underground drilling and development activities.

The role emphasizes reporting, design oversight, audits, and the coordination of drilling with geology, exploration, and operations to meet safety and production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent required
• A minimum of 1 years of underground Mining Engineering experience required
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles and a demonstrated knowledge of US engineering standards and mining regulations required
• Strong presentation and verbal skills. Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in both written and verbal forms across all levels of the organization in a clear manner required
• Excellent time and productivity management skills required
• Excellent computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Vulcan, Deswik, Ventsim required

Responsibilities

• Production reporting of mine physicals and KPI tracking for improvement opportunities
• Accountable for mine design and mine planning, both short and long range
• Conduct site audits to ensure compliance to standards and look for opportunities to improve efficiencies
• Coordinate with geology/exploration to plan drilling and reconcile mine-to-mill
• Responsible for the design and as-built layouts of all mine development and services for the Underground
• Create and monitor site forecasts and budgets
• Prepare presentations and reports for site leadership and stakeholders
• Coordinate with mine operations to ensure plan compliance and minimize disruptions
