Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess current mine foreman or assistant mine foreman certification.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides first level supervision to a crew responsible for coal production at the face.
• Responsible for achieving daily production goals and maintaining safety.
• Works with the Shift Foreman and Maintenance Supervisors to coordinate maintenance and follow the mine plan.
• Maintains daily production and time records for the Shift Foreman.
• Trains new employees on operating techniques and safety.
• Holds employees accountable for safe and productive performance.
