Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems. This entry-level role involves travel to various locations as needed by customers and requires strict safety adherence.

The position demands physical strength, the ability to work around high voltage, and the readiness to perform demanding outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground.
• Assists with installing underground transformers.
• Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Capable of learning basic knowledge of materials used.
• Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.
