Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist in Wilmington, NC seeks an Underground Equipment Operator to support construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew in building, repairing, and maintaining power distribution, while upholding safety standards and collaborating with team members.

The role requires a CDL permit with potential to obtain a CDL within 90 days, and prior mini excavator experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDL Permit and the ability to obtain a CDL license within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating a mini excavator.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able to lift an excess 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• This is a safety sensitive position that requires a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Secure the safety of yourself and others.
• Assist fellow line-workers in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
• Continued training to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Work on new construction, maintenance, or repair of underground systems.
• Inspect PPE and equipment for serviceability.
