Job summary

River City Construction seeks an Underground Equipment Operator to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the team, operate a mini excavator, and contribute to safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires a CDL permit, physical endurance, and willingness to work overtime and travel as needed. This is an on-site position with opportunities to grow within the Operations department.

Qualifications

• CDL Permit required with ability to obtain a CDL license within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating a mini excavator.
• Ability to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice when required.
• Able to work extended periods in various locations.
• Capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Assist fellow line-workers in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
• Pursue ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
