We are currently hiring for Underground Construction positions specializing in Water and Sewer. This role involves working on commercial construction sites, performing site work, dirt work, and excavation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in excavation and underground utility or plumbing work, including sanitary storm systems, sewer/drain lines, city/township mains, and water supply lines. The position requires working in trenches and confined spaces, ensuring safety and efficiency. Knowledge of proper pitch and laying pipe, making connections to code, and familiarity with materials such as PVC, copper, cast iron, etc., is essential. The ability to safely shore trenches is also required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Assisting with site excavation projects, including trenching and installing sewer pipes and underground drains.
  2. Operating and maintaining construction equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  3. Performing manual labor tasks, such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
  4. Preparing worksites by cleaning, setting up forms, and completing necessary tasks.
  5. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  6. Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  7. Supporting the site supervisor and team members with various tasks.
  8. Working effectively in trenches and confined spaces.
  9. Loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
  10. Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience in excavation and underground utility work, including sewer and water main installations.
  • Ability to work safely in trenches and tight spaces.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 certification.
