Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking a Site Solutions Manager to act as a subject matter expert for underground hard rock mining equipment performance and customer relationship management.

You will manage key performance metrics across underground fleets, lead continuous improvement projects, and develop strategies to enhance maintenance practices and reliability at customer sites. Travel to mines and close collaboration with Wheeler teams and CAT are required.

Qualifications

• Underground hard rock mining equipment experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with LHDs and underground haul trucks and their major systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of underground mine safety practices and MSHA underground safety training is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives at customer underground hard rock mine sites.
• Manage performance improvement projects from scoping through results tracking for underground equipment.
• Analyze machine health data and failure history to identify root causes and reduce downtime.
• Develop and improve maintenance strategies including inspections, preventive/predictive maintenance, and life management.
• Travel to customer mine sites, including underground work, as needed.
• Collaborate with Wheeler service, parts, and technical teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communicate metrics and improvement opportunities with CAT and customers.
• Build relationships with customers to manage product performance.
• Create BI tools to track key performance and reliability metrics for customers and Wheeler team.
• Participate in mine site assessments evaluating equipment condition and maintenance practices.
