Job summary

Imerys is seeking a Mine Manager for three North Georgia operations (Marble Hill, Whitestone, Cisco). The role oversees underground mining, crushing, and sampling with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and production efficiency.

You will supervise mining departments, manage budgets, and interface with vendors to secure maintenance and services. Ideal candidates hold a BS in a technical field and bring 10+ years in mining with 5+ years underground and 5+ years supervisory experience,

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (preferably mining, civil, or geological engineering).
• 10+ years quarry or mining experience (preferably hard rock mining with 5 years underground experience).
• 5+ years supervisory experience in mining, quarrying, maintenance, or processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety consciousness and maintain a safe work environment.
• Supervise underground mining operations and ensure supplies for processing plants.
• Evaluate mine labor, equipment, and materials for cost-effective operations.
• Direct departmental operations to complete projects timely and manage staff fairly.
• 24-hour responsibility for mining operations, safety, and issues.
