Ampcontrol Limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Rutherford-based workshop team in the United States. You will perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls on underground mining equipment, diagnose faults, and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Experience in heavy industrial, mining or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls on underground mining equipment, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
• Safely operate workshop machinery, tools and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines and production requirements.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety, quality and continuous improvement.
